Airbus Foundation Chair on Mathematics of Complex Systems has been established in TIFR Center for Applicable Mathematics, Bangalore. The research activities under this Chair cover many areas of applied mathematics and scientific computing as can be seen from the website
The Chair will offer internships to students pursuing their bachelor or master degrees in any Institute in India. This will provide an opportunity for students to work on current and challenging problems, and learn new topics in applied mathematics and scientific computing.
Applications can be sent throughout the year. If you are selected, you will work with one or more faculty members listed on the above website. The duration of the internship can be between two to six months. This also allows you to work on your bachelor or master thesis during the internship.
Who can apply ?
Anybody pursuing bachelor or master degree in mathematics, science or engineering can apply.

Selections will be made based on your resume, so be sure to highlight your achievements, skills and projects you might have done in the past. Concrete proof of this in terms of reports, papers or coding projects will carry greater weightage.

All selected students will be paid return train travel to Bangalore. You will also receive a stipend of Rs. 7000/month, subsidized accommodation in our hostel subject to availability and use of canteen facilities.
