Compact course on generalized Radon transforms

Objective

• Prof. Ambartsoumian and Dr. Krishnan had research collaborations in inverse problems. Furthermore, they worked together with Dr. Rishu Saxena, a post doctoral fellow at TIFR-CAM, Bangalore on numerical implementation of certain inversion formulas for the circular Radon transform. Prof. Ambartsoumian gave four lectures on “Integral Geometry and Mathematical Problems of Image Reconstruction”.

List of topics of lectures

Spherical Radon transform arising in thermo and photo-acoustic tomographies, elliptical Radon transform arising in bi-static setups of ultrasound imaging and Radar and V-line transform arising in the single scattering optical tomography.
